day 5:

i don’t think you can truly love anyone else on a romantic, unless you truly love yourself. part of being in a relationship means, you can be who you truly are with that person, and they’ll still accept you. and i believe it’s very hard to truly be who you are if you don’t love yourself. love should always set you free. love should never hold you captive.

i would say love is when two people are free to be themselves together. but not just that. they are able to feel a genuine connection, on a deeper level than just the surface. love isn’t when you walk out on your family. love isn’t calling your child dumb. there’s no love in treating people in a way you wouldn’t want to be treated.

true love, romantic or a friendship is simply this: complete and total acceptance, RESPECT and admiration for another person. love knows no bounds, so don’t give it any.

there is no one way to love. or one type of person to love. love is everywhere. you just have to look for it. but when you find it, you should hold on tight and never let go.
